Commander: The Reaper, King No More

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Jund -1/-1 counter deck helmed by The Reaper, King No More, built around spreading -1/-1 counters across the board and converting every counter and death into value. The engine layers multiple payoffs - Nest of Scarabs and Flourishing Defenses make tokens, Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons makes deathtouch snakes, Obelisk Spider and Poison-Tip Archer drain, and The Scorpion God plus Yawgmoth, Thran Physician turn deaths into cards. The commander's theft ability (and Necroskitter's) steals opposing creatures that die with counters, turning wipes like Black Sun's Zenith into one-sided board theft. The primary fast win is an infinite-mana combo - Devoted Druid + Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Nesting Grounds - funneled into Obelisk Spider or All Will Be One for infinite drain. The deck grinds hard and combos when it can.
