Format: Commander

Commander: Aragorn, Hornburg Hero

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Aragorn, Hornburg Hero commands an aggressive Naya tokens and counters strategy that turns modest creature boards into overwhelming combat forces. Aragorn grants your attacking creatures first strike and renown, then doubles the counters on any renowned creature that deals combat damage to a player. The primary game plan establishes early token producers like Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon and Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin, scales their power exponentially with counter amplifiers such as Sovereign Okinec Ahau, and protects attacking steps using Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar. Lethal finishes arrive through explosive combat multipliers, including Blade Historian for double strike, damage triplers like City on Fire, and extra combat phases from Scourge of the Throne.
