Deck overview

This deck is a focused Mardu cheat-aggro build led by Kaalia of the Vast. The strategy aims to deploy Kaalia on turn 3 or 4, protect her with low-cost equipment or ward, and attack immediately to cheat overwhelming Angels, Demons, and Dragons onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. Payloads range from immediate player-elimination pieces like Master of Cruelties to asymmetric board wipes like Balefire Dragon and damage amplifiers like Gisela, Blade of Goldnight. The list also includes a deterministic two-card infinite combat loop using Helm of the Host and Aurelia, the Warleader. To support its fragile 2/2 commander, the deck packs dense shielding via Lightning Greaves, Swiftfoot Boots, Mother of Runes, and Flare of Fortitude. While devastating when Kaalia connects, the deck is heavily commander-dependent and carries a 29-land count that struggles to hardcast its high-mana curve if Kaalia is repeatedly removed.
