Deck overview

This deck leverages The Gitrog, Ravenous Ride to convert efficient, oversized creatures into massive bursts of card advantage and land acceleration. By deploying cheap 6+ power beaters like Rotting Regisaur, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Bygone Colossus on early turns, the deck sets up Gitrog for an immediate Turn 4 attack. Upon dealing combat damage, Gitrog sacrifices the saddling creature to draw 6 to 9 cards and cheat up to that many lands onto the battlefield tapped. This explosive influx of mana and cards enables follow-up turns featuring game-ending behemoths like Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant, Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus, Rise of the Dark Realms, or an overwhelming Finale of Devastation. While the deck is vulnerable to well-timed creature removal during its combat step, its high card density and backup stompy lines give it strong natural resilience and recovery.
