Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul landfall burn strategy helmed by Tannuk, Memorial Ensign. The deck leverages rapid land acceleration to deploy Tannuk early, turning routine land drops into consistent direct damage and repeatable card draw. By utilizing fetchlands, self-sacrificing lands, and utility spells, the deck rapidly stocks its graveyard with land cards. Once a critical mass of lands is reached, explosive mass recursion spells such as Splendid Reclamation and Aftermath Analyst return all sacrificed lands to the battlefield at once. This triggers a massive surge of simultaneous landfall abilities, dealing lethal burn damage across the table with support from damage amplifiers like Torbran, Thane of Red Fell and secondary pingers like Spitfire Lagac. Additionally, the list contains an infinite combat loop using Ashaya, Soul of the Wild and Bumi, Unleashed. The deck excels at resource generation and board recovery because its mana base consists primarily of permanent lands that survive standard board wipes.
