Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Mardu aggro deck centered on Kaalia of the Vast. The primary game plan accelerates Kaalia into play on Turn 3 using fast mana artifacts and rituals, then attacks on Turn 4 to bypass casting costs on colossal Angels, Demons, and Dragons. Key payoff drops such as Master of Cruelties, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, and Archfiend of Despair generate sudden, lethal combat swings that eliminate opponents in rapid succession. An exceptionally dense suite of defensive spells—including Deflecting Swat, Flawless Maneuver, Teferi's Protection, and Lightning Greaves—protects Kaalia during her vulnerable attack window. While vulnerable to early spot removal and reliant on combat steps, the deck applies relentless pressure and finishes games by Turn 6.
