Deck overview

This is a Naya (RGW) lands-matter deck helmed by Toph, the First Metalbender, built around the "earthbend" mechanic: animating lands into hasty land creatures with +1/+1 counters. The commander's end-step earthbend provides a repeatable animation each turn, while its artifact-lands ability (nontoken artifacts are lands) enables a powerful synergy with Mycosynth Lattice, Unwinding Clock, Tectonic Split, and Bootleggers' Stash. The deck wins primarily through combat - growing land creatures with Branching Evolution, The Earth Crystal, and Michelangelo, Weirdness to 11, then finishing with double strike from Toph, the Greatest Earthbender and extra combat from Bumi, Unleashed - or through All Will Be One burn, which converts every counter placement into damage. With 16+ earthbend cards in the 99, the deck is highly redundant and functions well even without its commander.
