Sauron Army by Rennealan

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Grixis Sauron is a value-tempo amass deck: Sauron converts opponents' spells into Army counters and his ring temptation turns Army damage into a discard-hand-to-draw-four engine. Saruman, the White Hand gives every own noncreature spell the same amass effect, so the deck builds one enormous Orc Army while Wheels and Kess, Dissident Mage-a hidden commander-create a spell-recursion subtheme. The backup plan is Wraith tokens from Lord of the Nazgul with all nine Nazgul, plus Maskwood Nexus to unify creature types. Interaction is mostly cheap counters and bounce, and the deck wins by trampling with a single Army or by discarding through Glint-Horn Buccaneer/Monument to Endurance.
