Deck overview

This Dimir Faerie tempo/control deck is helmed by Alela, Cunning Conqueror, who generates a flying token on the first spell cast during each opponent's turn and goads a creature whenever Faeries connect. The strategy revolves around playing almost entirely at flash speed, deploying cheap Faeries and instants on opponents' turns to build a token army while drawing cards from engines like Wavebreak Hippocamp, Slitherwisp, and Coastal Piracy. The primary win condition is incremental combat damage backed by drain effects from Obyra, Dreaming Duelist and Faerie Tauntings, with Oona, Queen of the Fae and Hullbreaker Horror as top-end finishers. The deck prioritises interaction density over raw speed, aiming to control the board and outvalue opponents through repeated flash triggers.
