Deck overview

This deck is a four-color (WUBR) midrange battlecruiser strategy piloted by Nissa, Leyline Tamer. The primary game plan revolves around ramping into Nissa to trigger her Landfall ability, which immediately draws a card and cheats massive, high-impact Demons directly from the library onto the battlefield. Payoffs like Archfiend of Despair, Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Be'lakor, the Dark Master, and Bloodthirster provide decisive board control and life-loss multipliers that rapidly clear opposing life totals. The deck supports this game plan with a rich suite of 18 efficient interaction and protection spells, including premier spot removal and low-mana countermagic. Although the deck features 12 Shadowborn Apostle cards, they function primarily as early chump blockers rather than a dedicated tutoring engine. While the high density of tapped lands creates tempo friction in the early turns, the deck reliably establishes an overwhelming airborne board state by Turn 6.
