Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos spellslinger and storm deck centered on Kuja, Genome Sorcerer. The primary game plan involves ramping in the early turns, establishing a small board of Wizard tokens, and casting Kuja to trigger his transformation into Trance Kuja, Fate Defied. Once transformed, Trance Kuja doubles all damage dealt by Wizards. On the combo turn, chaining cheap noncreature spells, rituals, and cantrips allows each Wizard to deal 2 damage per spell to each opponent, rapidly draining 40 life from the entire table in a single turn. The deck also features a potent stax package using Opposition Agent alongside Maralen of the Mornsong and Mornsong Aria, which locks opponents out of drawing cards while stripping their libraries. Fast mana, black tutors, and Underworld Breach provide the velocity and consistency needed to execute wins or recover from disruption.
