Deck overview

This Boros deck is commanded by Aurelia, the Warleader and focuses on aggressive combat and extra combat phases to overwhelm opponents. The strategy aims to establish early board presence using resilient creatures and equipment before casting Aurelia on Turn 5 to trigger doubled combat phases. Supporting beaters such as Slash, Reptile Rampager, Smaug the Magnificent, and Lightning, Army of One scale damage rapidly, while damage doublers like Raphael, the Muscle and Mjölnir, Hammer of Thor accelerate life total depletion. The deck's resource structure relies on a heavy 41-land base and moderate low-cost artifact ramp, ensuring steady land drops to reach Aurelia's 6-mana cost reliably. However, card advantage is limited to cantrips and looting, meaning the deck must capitalize on early board momentum. Protection tools like Mithril Coat and Mother of Runes help defend key threats, but the strategy remains vulnerable to board wipes and multi-turn combat exposure.
