Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul Stax and Stompy strategy designed to punish noncreature spells, artifact acceleration, and nonbasic land bases while accelerating into overwhelming creature threats. Commanded by Ruric Thar, the Unbowed, the deck utilizes a high density of 1- and 2-mana dorks like Llanowar Elves and Goblin Anarchomancer to deploy its commander by turn 4. Once on the battlefield, Ruric Thar taxes opponents 6 damage for every noncreature spell, which combines devastatingly with Possibility Storm to inflict 12 damage per cast from hand.
