Deck overview

This is a classic Simic landfall value engine helmed by Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait, built to chain extra land drops into a snowball of draw, ramp, and token generation. The core loop is simple: play more lands than your opponents, convert every landfall trigger into cards (Tatyova, Benthic Druid, Aesi), mana (Lotus Cobra, Tireless Provisioner), or bodies (Avenger of Zendikar, Rampaging Baloths, Scute Swarm), then close with Craterhoof Behemoth or a giant Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar/Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger beatdown. A secondary +1/+1 counter package (Hardened Scales, Kami of Whispered Hopes, Bristly Bill, Spine Sower, Doubling Season) turns the landfall tokens into enormous threats. The deck's one true combo - Retreat to Coralhelm plus a land-drop creature - generates infinite landfall triggers for a variety of payoffs, but the primary path is overwhelming board presence through sheer land velocity.
