Deck overview

This Bant deck is helmed by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian and revolves around +1/+1 counters, keyword counter distribution, and proliferate mechanics. The primary strategy develops early mana dorks and cost-effective counter generators before casting Tidus on Turn 3. Beginning on Turn 4, Tidus rearranges counters to ensure attackers are modified, triggering Cheer to draw cards and proliferate each turn. As counters compound via amplifiers like Kami of Whispered Hopes, Yoshimaru, Beloved Companion, and Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, midgame threats like Mossborn Hydra, Maester Seymour, and Wakka, Devoted Guardian grow into lethal attackers. Evasion granters such as Abzan Falconer and Duskshell Crawler push combat damage past blockers, while asymmetric wipes like Damning Verdict and Wave Goodbye clear opposing boards without disturbing modified creatures. Resilient protection spells like Ripples of Potential, Inspiring Call, and Silkguard keep the counter engine intact against removal.
