Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir control strategy led by Vren, the Relentless that turns opposing creature removal into a self-scaling win condition. The game plan focuses on controlling the battlefield through an extensive suite of sacrifice edicts, targeted removal, and asymmetric sweepers. When opponents' creatures die, Vren exiles them instead, shutting down graveyard recursion and death triggers while creating Relentless Rat tokens at the end step. These tokens grow larger with every Rat you control, transforming routine removal spells into massive offensive swings. Supporting elements like Notion Thief deny opposing card advantage, while low-cost countermagic and protection spells such as Shore Up and Mizzium Skin keep Vren safe. The deck wins by overwhelming opponents through combat damage, utilizing evasion from Levitation and life drain from Valley Rotcaller.
