Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity cEDH turbo storm deck commanded by Rowan, Scion of War. The primary objective is to deploy Rowan on Turn 2 using fast mana, rituals, or depletion lands. On Turn 3, the deck converts life loss from painlands, fetchlands, and cheap spells like Dismember or Snuff Out into a massive cost reduction. Activating Rowan at sorcery speed reduces generic costs of black and red spells by the life lost, enabling discounted tutors like Dark Petition and Behold the Beyond. Resolving Behold the Beyond finds Desperate Ritual, Reiterate, and Searing Touch, which together form an infinite mana and infinite damage loop via Reiterate's discounted buyback cost. The strategy relies on speed, redundancy in tutors, and free interaction such as Deflecting Swat, Grief, and Red Elemental Blast to protect its explosive win turn.
