Commander: The Gitrog Monster

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

The Gitrog Monster leads a land-sacrifice, landfall, and graveyard-reanimation strategy. The primary plan is to use Gitrog's draw trigger and extra land drop to churn through the deck, hit landfall payoffs like Avenger of Zendikar and Rampaging Baloths, then overrun with Craterhoof Behemoth or End-Raze Forerunners. A secondary line is a four-card infinite sacrifice/drain loop using Beifong's Bounty Hunters, Scouring Swarm, Umbral Collar Zealot, and Rampaging Baloths. The deck is heavily dependent on its graveyard and has no hidden commander; both Gitrog faces are simply the same landfall engine, and the list is built around the regular face rather than a DFC.
