Deck overview

This Jeskai deck uses Captain America, First Avenger as both a Voltron threat and a repeatable removal engine. By utilizing Captain America's Catch ability at the beginning of combat, the deck bypasses steep equip costs on massive Equipment such as Colossus Hammer and Excalibur, Sword of Eden. The deck accelerates rapidly using an elite fast mana suite and reliable tutors like Stoneforge Mystic and Steelshaper's Gift. Once equipped, Captain America swings for heavy commander damage and can unattach equipment to throw direct damage at any target, wiping opposing blockers or finishing off life totals. The deck supports this aggressive clock with premier free protection spells like Fierce Guardianship and Deflecting Swat, while maintaining a tutorable instant toolbox via Sunforger. If the commander is removed, alternate carriers like Cloud, Midgar Mercenary and Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist maintain offensive momentum.
