Deck overview

This Mono-Black Commander deck is built around Chainer, Dementia Master, focusing on reanimator loops, big-mana generation, and asymmetric resource attrition. The deck accelerates in the opening turns using mana doublers and land tutors like Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, and Expedition Map to generate massive pools of black mana. It utilizes efficient graveyard tutors such as Entomb and Buried Alive to bin premier creature payoffs like Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Kokusho, the Evening Star, and Vilis, Broker of Blood. Once Chainer is deployed alongside free sacrifice outlets such as Phyrexian Altar and High Market, the deck creates inescapable life-drain loops at instant speed while mitigating Chainer's Nightmare exile trigger. Heavy board-control tools and attrition pieces like Braids, Cabal Minion, Mindslicer, and The Meathook Massacre continuously strip opposing resources. The deck wins by repeatedly draining the table with Gary or Kokusho, casting a lethal Exsanguinate, or milling opponents with Altar of Dementia.
