Deck overview

This is a Golgari deathtouch-and-poison midrange deck built to grind the table down: nearly every creature trades with anything in combat, every death fuels a trigger, and the poison clock quietly accumulates while opponents deal with the board. The Serpent Society anchors the plan with a unique ward - opponents must take five poison counters just to target it - and a death trigger that forces every opponent to sacrifice a nontoken creature whenever a deathtouch creature dies. The 99 contains roughly twenty interchangeable deathtouch bodies plus the payoffs that weaponize them: Fynn, the Fangbearer and Necrogen Rotpriest turn combat hits into poison, Hooded Blightfang and Poison-Tip Archer drain the table, and token/recursion engines like Ogre Slumlord, Grave Titan, Hornet Queen, and Woe Strider keep the pressure coming. Vraska, Swarm's Eminence acts as a hidden second commander for the theme. Primary win: ten poison counters on each opponent; backup: evasive combat damage and life drain.
