Commander: Witherbloom, the Balancer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari token-swarm deck helmed by Witherbloom, the Balancer, built entirely around creature density. The commander's affinity for creatures discounts both itself and every instant and sorcery in the deck, rewarding a wide board of tokens and mana dorks. The plan is straightforward: generate a critical mass of tokens from engines like Bitterblossom, Ophiomancer, Bitterbloom Bearer, and Army of the Damned, multiply them with Doubling Season, Chatterfang, Squirrel General, Second Harvest, and For the Common Good, then close the game with a tutored Craterhoof Behemoth, Overrun, or a massive Exsanguinate. Enduring Vitality and Cryptolith Rite convert the swarm into a mana battery, letting the deck cast huge X-spells. Tutors including Green Sun's Zenith, Finale of Devastation, and Demonic Tutor (via Emeritus of Woe) reliably find the finishers.
