Zombies by user9056839

Format: Commander

Commander: Ob Nixilis, Unshackled

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This mono-black attrition deck is built to bury opponents under Zombie and artifact permanents. Ob Nixilis, Unshackled's real role is an evasive, growing beater with a strong anti-tutor hate ability; the deck does not depend on him. The primary plan is to generate 2/2 Zombie tokens, tax the board with Pactdoll Terror and Vengeful Dead, and drain through Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Secondary plans include reanimating Gray Merchant with Whip of Erebos and equipping Ob with Excalibur or Sword of Feast and Famine. There is no hidden commander; Rune-Scarred Demon serves as lieutenant, tutoring for the best attrition piece. Wins come from repeated combat waves, recurring life-loss triggers, and incremental devotion drains rather than a single combo.
