A Vampire's Kiss by kaedwyn

Format: Commander

Commander: Astarion, the Decadent

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Orzhov lifegain deck uses Astarion, the Decadent to double life loss or life gain each end step. You gain life with lifelink creatures, extort, and spells, then punish opponents with drain effects that turn each point of life gained into damage. Vampires and incremental drain grind opponents down while you stay high on life. The main fast win is an infinite loop between Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond effects, and a one-shot kill with Astarion plus Peer into the Abyss. Astarion accelerates the plan but the drain engines win without him, so the deck plays as a slow, resilient attrition deck that can pivot to combo.
