Deck overview

This deck develops a wide Squirrel and token board, using Hazel of the Rootbloom to copy Squirrels at each end step. Chatterfang, Squirrel General, Parallel Lives, Doubling Season, and Academy Manufactor can greatly increase the number of bodies, while Camellia, the Seedmiser, Squirrel Sovereign, Creakwood Liege, and Deep Forest Hermit improve their size. The main reliable pressure point is a large board followed by a hasty Craterhoof Behemoth attack around turn 8. The deck has functional ramp and several strong draw engines, but its tutors and protection are limited. Its interaction is mainly permanent removal, with little stack coverage. The deck can rebuild through alternative token makers if Hazel of the Rootbloom is removed, but the commander remains the cleanest engine. Its best games convert Food, Treasure, and creature tokens into mana, cards, life-drain triggers, and a final overwhelming combat step.
