Deck overview

This is a Grixis Villain tribal deck built around Doctor Doom, King of Latveria that leverages the connive mechanic to generate card advantage, fill the graveyard, and trigger discard payoffs. The primary game plan is to deploy a series of Villain creatures, use connive to draw and discard, then convert the graveyard into value through recursion engines like Norman Osborn // Green Goblin's mayhem ability, Moonstone, Harsh Mistress, and Containment Construct. The deck wins primarily through combat damage, often with a wide board of boosted Villains, or by using Glorious Purpose to cast free spells after accumulating six plan counters. Secondary win conditions include Archfiend of Ifnir softening opposing boards, Magmakin Artillerist dealing direct damage from discards, and Peer into the Abyss to draw into a crucial piece. The commander provides a consistent source of connive, a land-discard life-loss drain, and a menace enabler, but the deck can function without him thanks to several other connive triggers.
