Deck overview

Azlask, the Swelling Scourge commands a five-color Eldrazi midrange deck focused on producing colorless Eldrazi Spawn and Eldrazi Scion tokens. The deck utilizes early ramp spells and token generators to establish a wide board state while building up experience counters whenever colorless creatures die. Sacrificing Spawns and Scions fuels rapid mana acceleration and permanently stacks experience counters on the player. Once the engine is online, casting and activating Azlask's five-color ability grants the entire swarm a massive power and toughness boost, indestructible, and annihilator 1. This attack wipes opposing boards clean of permanents while pushing overwhelming combat damage across the table. Secondary payoffs like Minthara, Merciless Soul, Glaring Fleshraker, and Sire of Stagnation provide backup buffs, direct burn, and asymmetric card draw. With strong card advantage engines and resilient experience counters that survive commander removal, the deck reliably grinds through mid-game interaction to deliver a decisive multi-player combat finish.
