Deck overview

This deck is a classic Grixis group slug and wheels engine commanded by Nekusar, the Mindrazer. The primary strategy focuses on establishing symmetric or asymmetric draw-punishing permanents such as Nekusar, Underworld Dreams, Fate Unraveler, and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, then casting mass draw and discard sorceries like Wheel of Fortune, Windfall, and Whispering Madness. Each wheel deals massive bursts of noncombat damage to all opponents while refilling the pilot's hand with more gas. The deck also includes potent asymmetric locks using Narset, Parter of Veils and Notion Thief, which leave opponents with empty hands when combined with wheels. While the deck possesses massive burst damage and card advantage, it suffers from giving opponents fresh cards off each wheel, opening windows for opposing interaction. Its pacing reliably establishes a must-answer threat on Turn 6 and closes the game on Turn 8.
