Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black aristocrats engine helmed by Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker. The strategy focuses on recurring creatures with power 1 or less on every player's end step. By combining Shirei with free sacrifice outlets like Viscera Seer or Ashnod's Altar, the deck repeatedly triggers enter-the-battlefield and death abilities across each turn cycle. Disruptive creatures like Virus Beetle and Abyssal Gatekeeper strip opposing hands and wipe creature boards, while payoffs like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Sling-Gang Lieutenant drain life totals. Supported by heavy black mana acceleration such as Ancient Tomb, Lake of the Dead, and Cabal Coffers, Shirei enters the battlefield on Turn 4 to lock down the board and finish opponents by Turn 7. The deck excels at resource generation and proactive denial, though it remains vulnerable to targeted removal on its commander and graveyard hate.
