Format: Commander

Commander: Marchesa, the Black Rose

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Marchesa, the Black Rose leads a Wizard-tribal value engine that grinds on the classic dethrone, +1/+1 counter, return-at-end-step loop. The primary plan is to attack with Marchesa and Wizards to stock counters, sacrifice them for draw, removal, and mana, then recur their enter-the-battlefield triggers. The secondary path is a compact persist combo: Puppeteer Clique plus Metallic Mimic, Sage of Fables, or Uncivil Unrest plus any sacrifice outlet loops infinitely, with Altar of Dementia or Goblin Bombardment as the payoff. A slower combat line uses Uncivil Unrest to double damage from creatures with +1/+1 counters. There is no hidden commander; Kefka, Court Mage is an optional transforming Wizard support piece, and neither Kefka face is the focus.
