Deck overview

This Golgari deck is led by Hazel of the Rootbloom and focuses on maximizing Squirrel typal synergies, wide token generation, and mana acceleration. Hazel doubles Squirrel tokens each end step and taps them for burst mana, facilitating explosive mid-game turns. The deck features classic token payoffs such as Chatterfang, Squirrel General, Deep Forest Hermit, and The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl to flood the battlefield quickly. For closing power, it relies on trample overruns like Craterhoof Behemoth, Preposterous Proportions, and Overrun, alongside an infinite sacrifice/mana loop via Chatterfang and Pitiless Plunderer. Its interaction suite is rooted in efficient Golgari removal spells such as Abrupt Decay and Swarmyard Massacre. Overall, it functions as a synergistic, high-ceiling casual Commander deck capable of lethal attacks by Turn 6.
