Yeah, it’s Tergrid… by Thuddle

Format: Commander

Commander: Tergrid, God of Fright // Tergrid's Lantern

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black stax/control strategy helmed by Tergrid, God of Fright. The primary game plan leverages forced sacrifice and discard effects to trigger Tergrid s ability, stealing opponents permanents directly onto the battlefield. The deck creates massive card and board advantage through asymmetrical disruption, grinding opponents out of resources while accumulating a massive army of stolen threats. The main win condition is incremental value accumulation via Tergrid, supported by a compact combo finish using Chain of Smog with Liliana of the Veil (or any planeswalker) to generate infinite discard triggers, locking opponents out of the game. The deck lacks traditional ramp or speed, relying entirely on its disruption suite to slow the table until Tergrid takes over.
