Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius artifact midrange build centered around Shorikai, Genesis Engine. The strategy ramps on Turns 1 through 3 with mana rocks such as Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, and Talisman of Progress to deploy Shorikai ahead of schedule. Shorikai functions as an engine in the command zone, drawing cards and producing Pilot tokens each turn. These Pilot tokens effectively crew high-power Vehicles like Parhelion II, Thunderhawk Gunship, and Thundersteel Colossus. The deck creates a critical combat presence around Turn 6 and eliminates opponents through evasive aerial attacks over three response cycles, concluding around Turn 9. The interactive suite features efficient spot removal including Swords to Plowshares and Dispatch, backed by counterspells and asymmetric sweepers like Slaughter the Strong. While vulnerable to mass artifact exile, Shorikai offers steady card draw and token generation to sustain the midgame.
