Deck overview

This deck is a four-color Bad Gifts control list helmed by Jace, Multiverse Architect. The strategy focuses on establishing defeat-immunity effects and weaponizing game-losing permanents by donating them to opponents. Accelerated by a dense suite of 2-CMC mana rocks, the deck establishes early card flow through Jace's loyalty abilities and defensive enchantments. Once resources are stabilized, the deck deploys lethal permanents such as Phage the Untouchable, Transcendence, Nine Lives, and Demonic Pact. It then hands them off using exchange spells like Donate, Harmless Offering, Role Reversal, or Fractured Identity. Fractured Identity targeting Phage the Untouchable serves as a signature instant knockout against the entire table. Defensive tools including Angel's Grace, Everybody Lives!, and Lazotep Plating protect the pilot from their own high-risk permanents while disrupting opposing threats until the sudden-death conditions resolve.
