Obeka, Splitter of Seconds by Brianthemax

Format: Commander

Commander: Obeka, Splitter of Seconds

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

A Grixis deck built to turn Obeka, Splitter of Seconds's combat trigger into a compounding upkeep engine. The plan is to make Obeka unblockable and hasted, connect with a player, and use the extra upkeep steps - two per point of combat damage - to fire every "at the beginning of your upkeep" effect in the deck. Roaming Throne and Shaun, Father of Synths multiply those triggers, while double strike from Lizard Blades or Temur Battle Rage can produce up to eight extra upkeeps in a single combat. The primary kill is upkeep-based drain from Court of Ire, Court of Ambition, Twilight Prophet, Scrawling Crawler, and Creeping Bloodsucker, with backup wins in Mechanized Production, Triskaidekaphile, and Darksteel Reactor. The entire deck exists to make one attack sequence overwhelming, so protecting Obeka and forcing damage through are the true strategy.
