Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Voltron and equipment aggro strategy commanded by Noctis, Heir Apparent. The primary game plan revolves around exploiting Noctis's triggered ability, which cheats equip costs whenever a creature enters the battlefield during combat. Noctis's activated Warp-Strike ability exiles him and returns him tapped, attacking, and unblockable on your next declare attackers step. Because Noctis enters during combat, this trigger immediately attaches high-impact equipment such as Colossus Hammer without paying its onerous eight-mana equip cost. Supported by equipment tutors and combat token generators like Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, the deck threatens massive unblockable commander damage. However, the list suffers from substantial mana friction due to numerous tapped lands and scarce low-cost mana acceleration. Because it eliminates opponents one at a time over several attack steps without infinite combat loops, it gives opponents substantial time to respond with artifact removal or board sweepers.
