Deck overview

This Queen Marchesa deck executes a classic Mardu Aikido and political pillowfort strategy. The plan establishes early safety using attack taxes such as Ghostly Prison, Windborn Muse, and Sphere of Safety, while introducing the Monarch mechanic through Queen Marchesa and various Court enchantments to maintain steady card flow. Once defenses are solidified, the deck deploys forced-combat mechanics like Disrupt Decorum, Kardur, Doomscourge, and Baeloth Barrityl, Entertainer to compel opponents into eliminating one another. When surviving opponents attempt to attack through the defenses, high-impact reactive instants like Inkshield, Deflecting Palm, and Comeuppance turn opposing power into lethal counter-strikes. The deck steadily grinds down life totals with Monarch upkeeps, Court triggers, and token generation, closing the game around Turn 9 once the table has exhausted its resources.
