Deck overview

This Izzet list is a token-and-spells engine built around Magnus the Red. The commander turns each creature token into a one-mana discount on instants and sorceries, so the deck's first job is to make tokens cheaply, then chain cantrips, removal, and token spells into a critical mass. Talrand, Young Pyromancer, and Saheeli double as secondary engines that replace themselves and feed the discount. Wins come from an unblockable or pumped token swarm, stormed Grapeshots and Empty the Warrens, or a large Crackle with Power fueled by Brass's Bounty. Hullbreaker Horror and counterspells keep the board clear. The strategy is resilient but linear: it needs both a token base and Magnus online to reach its fastest lines.
