Deck overview

This Abzan deck helmed by Felothar, Dawn of the Abzan is a +1/+1 counter and token-sacrifice value engine. The primary game plan is to generate a wide board of tokens and creatures, then use Felothar's enter/attack trigger to sacrifice a nonland permanent and distribute +1/+1 counters across the team. The deck leverages counter synergies (Byrke, Long Ear of the Law, Seismic Tutelage, Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest) and token payoffs (Mirkwood Bats, Venerated Stormsinger) to drain opponents while growing an unstoppable army. It wins through overwhelming combat damage, often accelerated by counter-doubling effects and mass token creation. The deck has no infinite combos, relying instead on incremental value and resilient board presence.
