Deck overview

This Selesnya Human tribal deck is commanded by Kyler, Sigardian Emissary and focuses on aggressive go-wide token generation and exponential +1/+1 counter scaling. The early turns prioritize establishing an efficient board of low-cost Humans such as Champion of the Parish, Avacyn's Pilgrim, and Katilda, Dawnhart Prime to ramp mana and build tribal critical mass. Once Kyler enters on Turn 4 or 5, every subsequent Human drop or token generator—such as Increasing Devotion, Horn of Gondor, and Adeline, Resplendent Cathar—adds counters to Kyler, granting an anthem across the entire board. Evasion engines like Champion of Lambholt, Odric, Master Tactician, and Tuskguard Captain allow massive lethal attacks that bypass opposing blockers to eliminate the table by Turn 7. A dense suite of protection spells (Heroic Intervention, Sigarda, Font of Blessings, Inspiring Call) shields the creature-heavy board against damage-based and destruction board wipes, while redundant anthem alternatives like Cathars' Crusade ensure resilience if Kyler is removed.
