Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red spellslinger deck that blends explosive storm finishes with disruptive stax pieces. Commander Urabrask, Heretic Praetor provides card advantage by exiling extra cards to play while constraining opponents' card retention. The deck uses early acceleration and asymmetric hate pieces like Blood Moon and Stranglehold to slow down opponents. Once mana generation engines like Birgi, God of Storytelling or Storm-Kiln Artist are online, the deck chains red rituals and low-cost utility spells. It recurs these spells through Underworld Breach or Past in Flames to generate high storm counts and lethal damage via Grapeshot or Ignite Memories. Alternative lock combinations with Possibility Storm and Void Mirror prevent opponents from casting spells from hand, closing out games decisively.
