Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Grixis competitive Commander list engineered around the premier Thassa's Oracle and Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact combo, backed by an Underworld Breach storm package. Supported by a robust suite of 0-1 CMC fast mana and universal tutors, the deck reliably achieves critical onset on Turn 3. Marchesa, Dealer of Death acts as a potent card advantage engine from the command zone, turning free targeted abilities—such as Glasses of Urza, Hammerheim, and Urborg—into repeatable card selection. The deck defends its win attempts with format-ceiling free countermagic, redirection spells, and proactive uncounterable tech like Hexing Squelcher and Samut, Tyrant of Naktamun. Its high density of low-cost interaction allows it to pivot seamlessly between proactive racing and disruptive control depending on the pod's speed.
