Deck overview

This Jeskai deck blends Wizard tribal synergy with explosive spellslinger payoffs, commanded by Gandalf, Party Guest. The primary game plan deploys cheap, high-utility legendary Wizards and mana rocks during the opening turns to rapidly establish board presence. Once Gandalf enters the battlefield, his combat-step trigger scales with your legendary Wizard count, letting you cast massive instants and sorceries such as Time Warp, Aminatou's Augury, and Multiversal Incursion entirely for free. The deck converts this immense mana advantage into wide, evasive combat wins using team pump effects from Balmor, Battlemage Captain, Adeliz, the Cinder Wind, and Akroma's Will. Robust defensive options like Teferi's Protection and Fierce Guardianship safeguard your key turns, while the compact combo of Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Curiosity provides an alternate route to victory.
