Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari kindred-aristocrats engine commanded by Blech, Loafing Pest. The primary objective is converting life-gain triggers into wide board pump effects across specialized creature types: Pests, Bats, Insects, Snakes, and Spiders. Early turns focus on mana ramp and deploying passive life-gain triggers such as Essence Warden and Prosperous Innkeeper. Once Blech enters the battlefield, repeated life-gain triggers distribute +1/+1 counters across entire token swarms generated by cards like Pest Infestation, Blight Mound, and Beledros Witherbloom. The deck closes games around turn 8 via a dual-vector clock: evasive or trample-assisted combat damage paired with death-trigger life drain from Blood Artist, Cauldron of Essence, and Starscape Cleric. While resilient against single-target spot removal thanks to deep token redundancy, the strategy remains vulnerable to mass exile sweepers and heavy stax pieces that restrict activated abilities or token generation.
