Deck overview

This Golgari deck utilizes Blech, Loafing Pest to convert repeatable lifegain instances into massive +1/+1 counter buffs across an army of Pests, Bats, Insects, Snakes, and Spiders. Built around low-cost token generators and incremental lifegain triggers, the deck rapidly establishes a wide board. Once the commander enters on Turn 3 or 4, combat attack triggers, landfall, and creature deaths steadily pump the swarm. Evasion enablers such as Duskshell Crawler and Hagra Constrictor allow the enlarged tokens to push through heavy combat damage, while drain staples including Marauding Blight-Priest and Bastion of Remembrance punish opponents for blocking or removing your creatures. The deck recovers reasonably well through backup token makers, but its reliance on creature density makes it vulnerable to mass sweepers.
