Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Golgari aristocrats combo list commanded by Chatterfang, Squirrel General. It leverages Chatterfang's token replacement effect to turn ordinary token generation—Food, Clues, Treasures, and Insects—into an army of 1/1 green Squirrels. These tokens serve as fuel for asymmetric board control, premium card draw through engines like Skullclamp and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, and rapid mana acceleration. The deck's primary win condition is an infinite sacrifice loop between Chatterfang and Pitiless Plunderer, generating unbounded Treasures, death triggers, and -X/-X activations to eliminate opposing boards and drain the table via aristocrat payoffs like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Marionette Apprentice. While weak to dedicated creature board wipes and lacking stack counterplay, dense green-black creature tutoring and interchangeable aristocrat pieces ensure rapid assembly, resilient card flow, and immediate same-turn lethality once the critical pieces enter play.
