Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder by KarsusMalius

Format: Commander

Commander: Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a four-color spellslinger storm deck that wins by casting many instants and sorceries in one turn. Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder is the engine: after he deals combat damage, every spell you cast from hand gains cascade, adding free spells and storm count. Payoffs like Aria of Flame, Sentinel Tower, Tor Wauki the Younger, Witherbloom Apprentice and Professor Onyx turn each cast or copy into direct damage or life drain, while Thousand-Year Storm and Prismari, the Inspiration copy spells for explosive turns. Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Archmage Emeritus act as hidden commanders, drawing cards and dealing damage without Yidris. Secondary wins come from incremental magecraft triggers when a full storm is not available.
