Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari midrange and control strategy centered on Gorgons, deathtouch creatures, and permanent removal under the command of Vraska, the Silencer. The primary game plan revolves around deploying efficient deathtouch blockers to deter aggression while accumulating mana through traditional ramp. Once Vraska enters the battlefield, the deck leverages single-target removal, combat trades, and asymmetric sweepers to destroy opposing nontoken creatures and convert them into Treasure artifacts. This conversion denies graveyard recursion to opponents while generating a significant mana surplus. In the late game, the deck converts this resource advantage into victory through combat pressure from heavy Gorgons like Hythonia the Cruel and Visara the Dreadful, life drain from Hooded Blightfang, poison counters from Fynn, the Fangbearer, or lethal planeswalker abilities. The deck excels at grinding out creature-based strategies but remains vulnerable to fast combo decks and non-creature threats due to a lack of stack interaction and dedicated tutors.
