Deck overview

This deck is a flavorful exhibition build constructed around Thanos and the concept of universal balance through halving resources. Across all five colors, the list features cards that cut life totals, libraries, creature boards, and hands directly in half. Operating with 41 lands—predominantly basic lands—and an extensive suite of mass board wipes, the deck's primary game plan is to reset the battlefield repeatedly until it can deploy high-end punitive engines like Heartless Hidetsugu, Wound Reflection, and Archfiend of Despair. Thanos provides supplementary board management in the command zone with an odd/even board wipe power-up. While thematic coherence is exceptional, the deck trades off competitive velocity by omitting instant-speed removal, fast mana, and cheap tutors.
