Deck overview

This Averna, the Chaos Bloom deck operates as a high-tempo Temur cascade engine. The early game focuses on deploying 1-to-3 CMC land ramp to cast Averna ahead of schedule. Once Averna is active, every cascade spell not only casts a free card from exile but also puts an exiled land card directly onto the battlefield tapped. This turns mid-cost cascade spells like Bloodbraid Elf and Shardless Agent into explosive mana acceleration. By Turn 5, the deck transitions into devastating high-end threats like Maelstrom Wanderer, Apex Devastator, and Genesis Ultimatum. These spells cascade multiple times, rapidly filling the board with high-power creatures. Mass haste enablers like Temur Ascendancy ensure that new threats attack immediately, threatening lethal combat damage across the table within two turns. While the list avoids countermagic to optimize cascade hits, its resilient land base allows rapid recovery after opposing sweepers.
